Well done Flintham Eco Team we have successfully achieved the RSPB Schools Wild Challenge. We successfully completed 3 experience nature challenges and 3 help nature challenges.
If you would like a nature challenge of your own you can do the RSPB family wild challenge at home.

This week Class 1 and 2 have been raising money for Save the Children by taking part in Den Day. We have had an amazing time building dens in our school grounds and we are very thankful to all the parents with their brilliant building skills who came and helped us!
We then finished our lovely morning by having a tree tea party. We had lunch amongst the trees and in our dens. Pictures will be in the gallery on the school website soon. https://www.flintham.notts.sch.uk/ After our amazing assembly and beautiful tree dressing, we have collected enough points to receive the Woodland Trust Silver Award! Well done all the wonderful children at Flintham Primary School.
This week the Eco-team delivered an assembly to the whole school all about a man who planted trees. The children took turns in telling the story to the Woodland Trust PowerPoint. This gave us two points towards our woodland trust silver award. The Eco-Team did an amazing job and told the story beautifully in loud clear voices so everyone could hear. During the whole school discussion afterwards it was evident how much the children at Flintham Primary School care about nature and trees.
Here are some of the thank you messages the children wrote. We attached them to our bunting and used them to dress our tree.
Trees are brilliant! Wow! What an exciting and educational week we have had. We have been working towards out Wodland Trust silver award and what fun it has been. We chose to dress a tree to say thank you for all the amazing things tree's do for us. We discussed all the amazing things tree's do for us. The children had so many things to be grateful for. I think everyones favourite was that trees are great for climbing!
